My name is Cormac Davis and I'm a 26 year old Animator, with a passion for model and puppet making. I've always had an interest in television, film and theatre. Growing up, I consumed as much screen time as one kid was allowed to, and then as much more as I could get away with too. I played countless games, watched many tv series and films and also enjoyed attending recreational theatre and drama activities, and those hobbies persist to this day. I adore storytelling in all its forms, but the ones which capture my heart the most are animation and puppetry. Two mediums which encapsulate your imagination the most powerfully. Animation, which brings fantasy into reality and puppetry, which introduces reality to fantasy. 

 

As you'll see from my videos I am equipped with a wide variety of creative skills. I have worked with stop motion, 2D digital and traditional animation, 3D modelling and digital rendering and puppets. While there will always be a special place in my heart for puppets and stop motion, I have enjoyed exploring and working with all of these mediums equally and will continue to do so moving forward. I believe every creative project requires it's own unique approach and tackling that big picture is my greatest passion. I am driven by my adoration for storytelling. From scripting and storyboarding to character design to filming, animating and editing I love every stage of the production process.
